Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in general commercial litigation and Chapter 7/11 bankruptcy to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and litigate a variety of general commercial litigation and bankruptcy cases
2. Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy, legal research, and drafting of pleadings and motions
3. Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and represent clients in court as needed
4. Engage with clients to provide strategic advice and guidance on litigation and bankruptcy matters
5. Assist in developing and expanding the firm’s client base through networking and business development initiatives (a plus)

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
2. Admission to the New York State Bar is required; admission in New Jersey or Connecticut is a plus
3. 2-5 years of substantive experience in general commercial litigation and Chapter 7/11 bankruptcy
4. Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
5. Ability to work independently in a mostly remote setting while maintaining a collaborative approach
6. Demonstrated ability to develop business is a strong advantage
