Job summary

Justia, Inc. is seeking an attorney for a fully remote Colorado-based role with regular travel to Colorado courts. You will gain hands-on litigation experience from day one, representing clients in county and municipal courts across Colorado.

Expect independent work, significant client contact, and a flexible yet demanding schedule. The position offers $120,000 to $140,000 per year (dependent on experience) plus performance bonuses, with a strong emphasis on autonomy and professional growth

Qualifications

• Active Colorado law license in good standing.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Colorado.
• Strong client relations, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

• Reliable internet and equipment for virtual court appearances.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in county and municipal courts throughout Colorado, advocating on their behalf through negotiations, hearings, motions, and trials.
• Conduct court appearances, including advisements, pretrial conferences, motion hearings, bond returns, and trials.
• Negotiate case resolutions with prosecutors and court personnel.
• Review discovery, client documents, and case materials.
• Advise clients regarding case strategy and potential outcomes by phone and email.
• Maintain accurate case notes, file complex pleadings, and monitor the status of client requirements and mitigation efforts.
• Work closely with our support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Respond to client communications in a timely and professional manner.
