OPPORTUNITY | Associate Attorney

Our Dallas/Fort Worth office seeks a well‑rounded, highly‑motivated, experienced Associate Attorney with two to five years of insurance defense or similar litigation experience. Must be licensed to practice in Texas. Additional court admissions would be a plus. This is an exceptional opportunity to handle a variety of litigation matters in state and federal courts with a forward‑thinking firm.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Proactively work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrate strong legal research and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills
• Ability to move from case to case
• Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures
• Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and navigating the internet

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda
• Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions
• Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency
• Prepare and take depositions of parties and witnesses
• Review client documents and draft case evaluations
• Participate in mediations and court appearances
• Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, and opposing counsel
