OPPORTUNITY | Associate Attorney

Our Dallas/Fort Worth office seeks a well-rounded, highly-motivated, experienced Associate Attorney with two to five years of insurance defense or similar litigation experience. Must be licensed to practice in Texas. Additional court admissions would be a plus. This is an exceptional opportunity to handle a variety of litigation matters in state and federal courts with a forward-thinking firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include handling a substantial caseload involving primarily defense litigation. The following are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to do this job successfully under the direction of a partner:

• draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda;
• draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions;
• conduct legal research competently and with proficiency;
• prepare and take depositions of parties and witnesses;
• review client documents and draft case evaluations;
• participate in mediations and court appearances; and,
• interact directly with clients, claim professionals, and opposing counsel.
