Overview

Kain Immigration, LLC seeks a full-time associate immigration attorney.

We are a small law firm in Boston that specializes in immigration law. We handle complex cases involving all aspects of family-based immigration, waivers, asylum, and removal proceedings. We are committed to this work. We serve on national and local liaison committees, speak at conferences and trainings, mentor other attorneys in the community, and, despite all present challenges, work for systemic change to make the U.S. a more welcoming place for immigrants.

Responsibilities

The associate attorney will handle family-based immigration, waivers, asylum, and removal proceedings; attend immigration hearings and interviews in New England periodically; and have daily interactions with clients from around the world.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Admitted to the bar in good standing.
  • At least 2 years of U.S. immigration experience, including experience working directly with a diverse client base. This experience could have been gained as a lawyer, a law student, or a paralegal. The position is open to recent law school graduates with relevant experience, contingent on admission to the bar.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Excellent writing, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Work Setup

Salary is in the range of $75,000 to $80,000, based on the applicant’s qualifications. The job will be mostly in-person at our downtown Boston office, with flexibility to work remotely on occasion.
