Job summary

Hanis Irvine Prothero PLLC seeks an Associate Immigration Attorney in Kent, Washington. The attorney will join the Immigration Department to handle family petitions, waivers, removal defense, and other immigration matters, representing clients before USCIS, ICE, CBP, EOIR, BIA, and federal courts.

Requirements include US bar admission in good standing, 1–5 years of immigration experience, and strong writing and analytical skills. Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in the United States and in good standing.
• 1-5 years of immigration law experience required.
• Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred (in lieu of Spanish ability, applicants with strong immigration litigation experience will be considered).

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume immigration caseload with emphasis on family petitions, consular processing, waivers, removal defense, criminal immigration issues, juvenile cases, VAWA, U and T visas.
• Represent clients before USCIS, ICE, CBP, EOIR, BIA and federal courts.
• Provide analysis and litigation support on complex immigration matters.

Associate Immigration Attorney

The Immigration Department of Hanis Irvine Prothero, PLLC in Kent, Washington seeks to hire an Associate Immigration Attorney. This position will join a team of three attorneys representing clients before USCIS, ICE, CBP, EOIR, BIA, federal courts and the Department of State. The attorney will be expected to manage a high-volume of all types of immigration cases with an emphasis on family petitions, consular processing, waivers, removal defense, criminal immigration issues, juvenile cases, VAWA, U and T visas.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in the United States and in good standing
• 1-5 years of immigration law experience required
• Fluency in Spanish (written and oral) is strongly preferred (in lieu of Spanish ability, applicants with strong immigration litigation experience will be considered)
• Excellent writing, legal analysis, and oral presentation skills
• Ability to multitask and manage heavy case load
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to meet strict deadlines

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently

Salary and Benefits

• Starting salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
• This position qualifies for a yearly bonus paid semi-annually
