In partnership with family offices, financial advisors and tax professionals, they repurpose our private clients’ tax liability to preserve and grow their wealth, legacy and impact.About this Opportunity:Our clientis seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Asset Manager to support the effective management of their residential solar and energy storage portfolio. This role will play a key part in maximizing asset value across thousands of residential installations by assisting in the oversight of key contractual relationships, monitoring system performance, and supporting financial reporting and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for clean energy.Responsibilities:Contract Management Support- Assist in tracking, reviewing, and enforcing obligations under energy service agreements and energy storage service agreements (ESAs and ESSAs), asset purchase agreements (APAs), operations & maintenance (O&M) contracts, and installer warranty and service obligations.
- Collaborate with Revenue team to plan and manage asset purchase and sale tranches with clients, ensuring all transactions are processed promptly and ownership documentation is filed accurately
- Maintain a centralized contract management system with key dates, deliverables, and compliance milestones
- Support oversight of insurance requirements on behalf of asset hosts and clients
- Support coordination with legal and internal teams for issue resolution or contract enforcement
Asset Performance & Optimization- Monitor system performance using real-time data platforms to identify underperformance, system outages, or recurring installer issues
- Identify underperforming assets and work with O&M providers or installation partners to diagnose and resolve issues
- Track availability, production metrics (kWh), and performance ratio (PR) vs. expected benchmarks
- Assist in implementing performance improvement initiatives and support reporting on results
Financial & Commercial Support- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reports for internal stakeholders, investors, and lenders, including operational summaries and variance analyses
- Track invoicing, warranty claims, and system repairs for budget adherence
- Support compliance with tax equity, lender, and regulatory requirements
- Manage insurance administration including claim tracking and renewals
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work with asset performance teams, finance, legal, and sales teams to resolve asset-level issues efficiently
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance asset management tools, reporting systems, and operational workflows
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Energy, or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, project finance, energy asset management, or operations
- Familiarity with residential or distributed energy systems preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel and data platforms
- Experience with energy monitoring platforms or CMMS tools a plus
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Zoho CRM and Analytics/Power BI/Tableau, or similar reporting platforms
- Understanding of clean energy financing structures including tax equity and ESAs/ESSAs
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in the renewable energy sector
Compensation and Work Environment- Salary range is $120K + based on experience with a bonus potential range of up to 25%.
- This position will be on a 1099 contractor agreement
- Physical setting is remote with once a quarter team travel for meeting.
