Job description

Job Title: Director of Asset Performance

The Director of Asset Performance is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Geology, Reservoir Engineering, and Reserves departments at EQT. This includes overseeing technical evaluations and workflows related to production forecasts, project economics, asset performance, subsurface reservoir engineering, science planning, well design, geological evaluations, and simulation studies. The role involves leading cross-functional teams focused on maximizing asset value and supporting various departments such as finance, accounting, production, and corporate development.

The responsibilities of the Director of Asset Performance include:

  1. Managing daily operations and executing strategic initiatives to meet department goals.
  2. Overseeing the Geology, Reservoir Engineering, and Reserves departments to ensure alignment.
  3. Coordinating all sub-departments and vendors.
  4. Ensuring reserves compliance with SEC guidelines and maintaining relationships with auditors.
  5. Monitoring performance to ensure timely project delivery and setting priorities.
  6. Leading asset evaluation efforts to maximize asset value.
  7. Supporting geologic modeling and reservoir simulations.
  8. Providing regular updates to management on department performance and metrics.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • 10-20 years of experience in upstream oil and gas exploration, reservoir engineering, modeling, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering, or a master's degree in geosciences.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Experience with SEC reserves reporting and intra-year reports.
  • Expertise in ARIES and familiarity with ComboCurve.
  • Ability to interpret lease operating statements and track business performance.
  • Background in reservoir simulation and engineering modeling.
  • Interest in technology and innovation.
  • Leadership experience in unconventional geology, reservoir engineering, or reserves teams.
  • Technical expertise in unconventional reservoirs and reserves.
  • Experience with A&D evaluations and discussions with financial institutions.
  • Experience with internal audits, SOX controls, and reserve audits.

This role allows for remote work, excluding certain states unless willing to relocate: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York.
