Job summary

ELOS Environmental, LLC is seeking a Project Archaeologist – Field Supervisor to join our team. The role is hybrid-remote, with fieldwork and office duties in a culturally resource-rich environment.

You will coordinate NHPA, ARPA, NEPA, and NAGPRA compliance, lead field crews, and prepare technical reports. Travel may be local or out-of-state, and a graduate degree with relevant field experience is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or History.
• At least 1 year of professionally supervised experience, or 2 ½ years of equivalent training.
• Must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards or BLM Manual Series 8150 standards.
• Experience with Phase I–III fieldwork and NRHP eligibility determinations.
• Knowledge of NHPA, NEPA, ARPA, and NAGPRA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA, NEPA, and state regulations compliance.
• Lead field crews on archaeological investigations.
• Prepare and edit high-quality technical reports and site forms.
• Assist with budget and staff management on projects.
• Travel locally and out of state as required.
• Serve as Tribal Liaison and coordinate with Tribes and SHPO/THPO.
