Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking an Associate Applications Development Engineer to join the Industry Vertical Engineering team. You will complete well-scoped tasks across the full stack, from frontend interfaces to backend services, while building foundational skills in full-stack development and AI-assisted engineering.

You will learn to work within CI/CD pipelines and contribute to production deployments under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI into work processes or workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of software engineering experience or strong internship/project work.
• Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OOP; familiarity with at least one modern language and framework.

Responsibilities

• Complete guided bug fixes, simple feature work, and tests across frontend and backend layers.
• Contribute to AI-native features, e.g., agentic workflows and conversational experiences.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and participate in code reviews.
• Learn and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
• Work within CI/CD pipelines and participate in deployments.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to translate requirements into working software.
