Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking an Associate Applications Development Engineer for the Industry Vertical Engineering team in Santa Clara. You will work on industry-specific AI-native software, contributing from UI to back-end services while learning full-stack development and AI-assisted engineering.

You will start with guided bug fixes, simple features, and tests, collaborating with senior engineers to understand requirements and ensure code quality, security, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes or problem-solving.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience or strong academic background with relevant internship or project work.
• Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming; familiarity with at least one modern language and framework.
• Basic familiarity with version control (Git), cloud concepts, and software QA practices including unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Complete guided bug fixes, simple feature enhancements, and test writing across front-end and back-end layers.
• Contribute to AI-native features under senior guidance.
• Write unit/integration/end-to-end tests and participate in code reviews.
