Job summary

AIG Inc. is seeking an Associate Actuary in Central Reserving to advance reserving capabilities using AI and advanced analytics.

You will develop tools to quantify drivers of claims outcomes, enhance reserve estimates, and support ECO and ULE reporting across multiple lines of business. The role partners with reserving actuaries, claims, data science, and business leaders to transform datasets into insights and modern reserving methodologies.

Qualifications

• BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• ACAS or FCAS designation.
• 4+ years of experience in reserving and/or pricing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly process of determining IBNR across reserving segments, ECO and ULE.
• Analyze information to document and communicate adequacy of loss and loss expense reserves.
• Develop and apply advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI tools to identify drivers and improve reserve estimates.
• Research, develop, and enhance reserving methodologies and models.
• Analyze and monitor loss development trends and relevant changes; communicate findings to management.
• Assist with quarterly financial/regulatory reporting and ECO/ULE reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with Claims, Finance, Pricing, Data Science, and Technology teams to improve data quality and processes.
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives.
