Job summary

The Associate Accountant for the Grain Division works with the Accounting and Control team to provide finance support to the business as well as serve as a subject expert on various reporting and compliance projects.

The selected candidate will perform journal entries, reconciliations, and payables, participate in the Pathways Development Program with in-person meetings at our corporate locations, and gain hands-on experience through rotations and audit schedules.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an anticipated graduation May 2027.
• Interested in quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Able to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
• Accountable and take responsibility for results.
• Active in the community giving back on campus, your hometown, or on a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Recordkeeping and booking journal entries for selected corporate service areas.
• Daily reconciliations for the main operating and certain subsidiary bank accounts, plus preparing the monthly cash reconciliations for all outlying location banks.
• Preparing and processing corporate payables.
• Broaden your perspective on career development, gain problem-solving insights, and improve your ability to navigate the organizational culture.
• Support your assigned businesses and serve our customers, improving processes, and ensuring key business activities are being executed
• Gain hands on experience preparing audit schedules for year-end close

Job description

The Associate Accountant for the Grain Division works with the Accounting and Control team to provide finance support to the business as well as serve as a subject expert on various reporting and compliance projects. Responsibilities include working closely with assigned trade units on accounting needs, monthly close and reporting of financial information, monitoring internal controls, reporting risk exposure, reviewing system outputs, and reporting and compliance assignments for the Grain Division.The selected candidate must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, ability to successfully work with others, and a drive to support overall division and finance objectives.

• Performing recordkeeping and booking journal entries for selected corporate service areas.
• Performing daily reconciliations for the main operating and certain subsidiary bank accounts as well as preparing the monthly cash reconciliations for all outlying location banks.
