Job summary

New York Life is seeking an Associate Account Executive to manage a portfolio of 250–499 lives with a focus on retention, growth and service. You will partner with clients and brokers to support renewals, negotiate terms and identify upsell opportunities.

The role offers development towards AE positions and requires strong negotiation and communication skills, with travel up to 30% and a base salary plus incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Experience in Life, Accident, Disability, or Leave benefits preferred.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and active listening.
• BA/BS degree preferred; state licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain client and broker relationships.
• Support renewals with census, underwriting and renewal recommendations.
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to grow book of business.
• Collaborate with underwriting and internal teams on policy changes.
• Participate in training, development and process improvements.
