Job summary

Tulane University is seeking an Assistive Technology Specialist to support students with disabilities by assessing and providing assistive technology solutions. This role also produces accessible instructional materials and oversees related software licenses.

As part of the Goldman Center for Student Accessibility, you will serve as a resource to departments and students, delivering excellent customer service and coordinating accommodations across campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of student customer service experience or relevant professional experience.
• High School Diploma with 8 years of student customer service experience.
• Master's Degree in a human service field preferred.
• Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and related laws.
• Familiarity with a multi-line phone system, data entry, and word processing.
• Knowledge of assistive technology.

Responsibilities

• Assess, recommend, and provide assistive technology solutions for students with disabilities.
• Produce and maintain instructional materials in accessible formats.
• Oversee software licenses related to assistive technologies.
• Distribute equipment and serve as a resource to departments and students.
• Provide high-level customer service to students, faculty, and staff regarding assistive technologies.
• Assist with accommodations coordination and cross-training activities.
