Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop in Sunbury, OH is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Manager at the Tanger Warehouse location. You will support the store manager in all aspects of store operations, ensuring guest service excellence, staff management, and execution of sales and marketing strategies.

You will hire and develop a high-performing team, manage scheduling, inventory, and merchandising, and lead shifts to meet targets while upholding brand standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in specialty retail.
• High school diploma required.
• Basic understanding of POS, scheduling, HRIS and time/attendance systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in determining associates’ daily assignments and directing work, including managing break schedules and daily priorities.
• Assist in hiring and promotion decisions, including providing feedback and recommendations on staff advancement.
• Lead and inspire your team during shifts, enforcing policies and standards and communicating corrective actions when needed.
• Drive sales as the Floor Leader, coaching Bear Builders and creating a Guest experience aligned with the Experience First culture.
• Ensure merchandising displays and layouts adhere to brand standards.
• Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Assist in building a high-performing team delivering an exceptional Guest experience.
