Job summary

GEODIS is hiring an Assistant Warehouse Operations Manager - Final Mile to oversee distribution and warehousing at Edison, NJ. The role coordinates cross-dock activities, reviews costs, and supports sales efforts to meet objectives.

The on-site position requires at least 3 years of related experience, strong PC skills (Word/Excel/Outlook), and the ability to read and write routine reports. Great benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross dock operation.
• Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services.
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees.
• Reviews costs and makes changes to maintain profitable operation of divisions.
• Participates in marketing and sales efforts to meet company goals and objectives and manage P&L.
• Supervises warehouse positions including Team Leaders and Operations Supervisors.
• For food accounts, reports food safety problems to authorized personnel.
