Assistant Warehouse Manager / Route Manager

Job Description

The Route Manager (RM) is responsible for the safe and efficient completion of all work for their assigned routes. The role involves approximately 30% office activities and 70% field activities, including record keeping, scheduling, billing, quality and safety checks, and fleet maintenance. The position requires significant driving and manual labor, including washing tasks. Candidates should have training in computer use and be able to learn our operations software. The role demands managing a dynamic team with varied skills, self-management, and availability by phone on workdays.

Compensation

$52,000 - $60,000 base salary plus bonus structure.

Key Responsibilities

1. QUALITY CONTROL - Dispatch crews, inspect work, ensure customer satisfaction, upload photos.
2. SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE - Lead and adhere to safety standards.
3. OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY - Complete work efficiently, manage schedules, keep labor under budget, and ensure communication.
4. SCHEDULING & BILLING - Validate schedules weekly, reconcile daily work, and complete billing by Tuesday noon.

Regular Duties

• Assist in HR activities as directed.
• Oversee route employees, onboarding, and daily activities.
• Respond to operational issues, emergencies, and customer complaints.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Lead safety meetings and review employee performance.
