Are you ready to be a driving force behind our operations? HMTX Industries is seeking a skilled Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our Warehouse and Distribution, you will lead personnel responsible for the movement of inventory as it safely, efficiently, and effectively moves through the York facility. Your expertise in distribution and safety will be essential to an efficient and effective operation.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and develop W&D employees and staffing agency workers.
- Oversee daily workflow and assignments of W&D employees and staffing agency workers.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Roles & Responsibilities
- Reviews staffing levels to utilize team members effectively to avoid waste.
- Ensures that all warehouse equipment is safely maintained, in working condition and that employees are properly trained to safely utilize equipment and machinery.
- Provide feedback on equipment needs in order to accomplish operational objectives in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Participates in establishing operational procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and peak efficiency.
- Works as the liaison between Office and Warehouse team members to determine the root cause of any customer complaints and recommends changes in operating procedures to resolve.
- Ensures proper inventory control procedures are followed.
- Assist in cycle counts as necessary to correct any inventory errors.
- Expedite receiving, picking, and shipping of priority (hot rush) orders, without disrupting the normal flow of operations.
- Ensures compliance with all Company safety rules and procedures.
- Responds to incidents involving personnel, equipment, or product quickly.
- Maintains a safe, clean, effective, and smoothly operating facility.
- Assists with drivers picking up or dropping off shipments.
- Troubleshoots problems as they arise.
- Prepares, analyzes, and presents position-related data/reports to leadership as requested.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Extensive experience with Warehouse Management Software (WMS)
- Must possess exceptional leadership skills including an emphasis in warehouse management procedures and best practices, team facilitation and motivation.
- Previous Experience with LEAN warehouse principles
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Proficient in MS Office Products
- Ability to drive and train personnel to drive forklifts.

Knowledge
- Proficient with Data Entry and inventory software and systems.
Education
- High School (College diploma) diploma or equivalent is required; college degree in Logistics (College diploma), Supply Chain Management (College diploma) or related experience is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Schedule: Generally, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm EST (some flexibility with start and end times based on office location). Evening, and weekend tasks or calls or work input may be required on occasion due to the nature of the role and subject to business needs.
- Work Environment: Primarily working indoors in a warehouse environment. Prolonged exposure to seasonal weather conditions may occur.
- Physical Demands: Walking, lifting, standing. Must be able to lift, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. Work requires sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods, moving and examining objects at various heights, and reading for extended periods. Requires frequent bending, stooping, standing, walking, turning, pivoting, and working in varying temperatures depending on the season.
