Job summary

Dillard University is seeking an Assistant Volleyball Coach to support the head coach and the women’s volleyball program. You will assist with practices, recruit student athletes, and monitor academic progress, while helping manage budgets and travel logistics.

The role requires knowledge of NAIA rules, program coordination, and effective communication with staff and players. Evening or weekend work and potential residence hall living may be required.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree required.
• One year of related experience required.
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license or ability to obtain.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• NAIA certification within four weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing Volleyball program budgets (scholarship, travel, operating, equipment).
• Assist with practices; instruct players.
• Recruit student athletes; attend high school games; evaluate players; communicate with coaches and players.
• Assist with advising and monitoring the academic progress of student athletes.
• Assist with scheduling practices and games.
• Coordinate team travel including meals and hotels; arrange transportation; prepare expense reports.
