Job summary

De La Salle is seeking a Volleyball Assistant Coach for the Athletics team in Concord, CA. This seasonal, part-time role begins January 2027 and involves teaching athletes volleyball fundamentals and more advanced techniques while promoting safe, positive coaching and character development.

The coach will work to help student-athletes reach their full potential, interact respectfully with students, staff, and the community, and uphold the school's mission throughout practices and games.

Qualifications

• Two years coaching youth athletes minimum.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of sports rules and regulations.
• Proficient with email, virtual meetings and cloud-based document sharing for team management.
• Ability to demonstrate drills and exercises.

Responsibilities

• Implement program goals and objectives through positive coaching.
• Teach fundamental and advanced volleyball concepts.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for student-athletes.
