Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. is seeking an Assistant Vice President Client Services to lead client relationships and oversee financials, contract renewals and staffing within the assigned area in the United States.

The role focuses on ensuring compliance, managing budgets, and building executive relationships to support growth and successful delivery of services for national accounts. Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration or Finance preferred.
  • Advanced degree and/or professional designations (CPCU, AIC, ARM) preferred.
  • Ten years of related experience, including three years in national accounts and five years of claims/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure contract compliance within assigned area.
  • Handle accounts receivable, invoicing and pricing support.
  • Maintain client knowledge, including threatened status and relationship with the company.
  • Manage renewal processes and negotiate contracts.
  • Lead business planning and budgeting within the area.
  • Plan staffing needs including succession and bench-strength.
  • Support client relationships and executive partnerships; assist business development.

Assistant Vice President Client Services

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To be responsible for the administrative, managerial and client relationships associated with Client Services within the assigned area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures contract compliance with company guidelines within an assigned area.
  • Handles financials including accounts receivable, invoicing and pricing support within an assigned area.
  • Responsible for client knowledge including threatened status and relationship with the company.
  • Handles renewal process timely; negotiates new contracts within an assigned area.
  • Responsible for business planning and budgeting within an assigned area.
  • Plans for staffing needs including succession, bench-strength, and new business within an assigned area.
  • Supports client relationships; builds executive relationships; supports internal relationships.
  • Supports business development.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization’s quality program(s).
  • Travels as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
  • Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance reviews.
  • Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major in Risk Management, Business Administration or Finance preferred.Advanced degree and/or professional designations(CPCU, AIC, ARM) preferred.

Experience
Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include three (3) years of Account Executive on national accounts experience and five (5) years of claims/supervisory experience.

For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $130,000.00 - $155,000.00 USD Annual A comprehensive benefits package is offered including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, 401k and matching, PTO, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, flexible spending or health savings account, and other additional voluntary benefits.
