Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience preparing concepts, budgets, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for rolling stock projects.
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience accepted.
• Valid US driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews concepts, budgets, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and meeting minutes for rolling stock projects.
• Maintains familiarity with changing federal codes and government regulations.
• Provides staff support to design consultants and senior management.
• Performs and reviews inspections and witnesses testing of rolling stock vehicles.
• Evaluates modification and change requests and advises project managers.
• Reviews invoices for payment, tracks open items, and writes meeting minutes.
• Interprets data on rolling stock equipment to ensure maintainability.
• Attends and coordinates meetings and assists with related duties.
