Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking an Assistant Utility Operator in North Andover, MA to monitor and operate ash handling and auxiliary plant equipment from the field, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.

You will perform routine maintenance, assist with troubleshooting, operate forklifts and other mobile equipment, and coordinate with the plant team to minimize downtime while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with equipment maintenance and minor repairs such as shear pins, valve repacking, and strainer cleaning.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Massachusetts Hoisting License 1C/2A or ability to obtain within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and minor repairs to ash handling and auxiliary systems.
• Operate plant equipment with guidance to ensure proper function.
• Communicate clearly using intercom, radio, or face-to-face methods.
• Troubleshoot equipment and assist in diagnosing problems.
• Operate forklifts, manlifts, skid steers, and other mobile equipment.
• Maintain positive interactions with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
