The position partners with the Unit Director to plan staffing, budgetary alignment, and policy implementation while coordinating with Labor Relations and Human Resources on leave and disciplinary matters.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and supervises staff for delivering mandated residential and day program services to individuals with intellectual disabilities to ensure active treatment.
• Allocates and deploys staff to meet facility and unit goals with properly trained personnel.
• Manages overtime and budget-related adjustments to align staffing with budget constraints.
• Recruits and interviews for unit positions, following bargaining agreements and affirmative action guidelines to maintain low vacancy rates.
• Collaborates with Labor Relations, B&L/OLPA to meet FMLA criteria and processes.
• Monitors staff performance, discipline, and participates in labor management hearings as needed.
• Oversees maintenance of supplies, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines.
• Supports the evaluation system by guiding supervisors in performance assessment and criterion setting.
• Participates in facility committees related to transfers and consolidations.
