Martin-Brower is seeking an Assistant Transportation Manager in the United States to lead Supervisors, Drivers, and Carrier Partners, ensuring timely deliveries to Distribution Centers and adherence to standards.

The role requires comprehensive team leadership, budget oversight, and the ability to coordinate with distribution centers on carrier meetings and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of related experience and 2+ years of management experience
• High School Diploma with 8+ years of specific experience and 4+ years of management experience
• Master’s Degree (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead Supervisors, Drivers, and Common Carriers to ensure deliveries to Distribution Centers
• Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members; monitor productivity and timekeeping
• Ensure adherence to delivery standards and regulatory requirements; manage drivers’ schedules and hours
• Develop and manage transportation budget; review and approve transportation invoices
• Collaborate with distribution centers to manage carrier relationships and conduct carrier meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Education

Responsibilities

Position responsibilities:

• The Assistant Transportation Manager leads Supervisors, Drivers, Common Carriers, and assists in overall Transportation Operations ensuring that finished goods are delivered to the company’s Distribution Centers
• The Assistant Transportation Manager staffs, trains, evaluates, and develops team members by developing and leading improvement activities and engagement as well as monitors employee productivity and timekeeping
• This role will ensure adherence to delivery standards and regulatory requirements while managing drivers’ delivery schedules and hours worked
• The Assistant Transportation Manager develops and manages the transportation budget by reviewing and approving transportation invoices
• You will also work directly with distribution centers to manage carrier relationships and conduct carrier meetings
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 plus years of related experience and 2 plus years of management experience or High School Diploma with 8 plus years of specific experience and 4 plus years of management experience
