Job summary

Reyes Holdings is seeking an Assistant Transportation Manager to lead a team of supervisors, drivers, and carriers, ensuring on-time deliveries to our distribution network. The role emphasizes staff development, schedule management, and regulatory compliance.

You will develop the transportation budget, review invoices, and work with distribution centers to optimize carrier relationships and hold carrier meetings. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years related experience and 2+ years of management.
• High school diploma with 8+ years specific experience and 4+ years management.

Responsibilities

• Lead Supervisors, Drivers, Common Carriers to ensure deliveries to distribution centers.
• Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members through improvement initiatives.
• Manage drivers’ schedules, hours worked, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and manage transportation budget; review and approve invoices.
• Collaborate with distribution centers to manage carrier relationships and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position responsibilities:

• The Assistant Transportation Manager leads Supervisors, Drivers, Common Carriers, and assists in overall Transportation Operations ensuring that finished goods are delivered to the company’s Distribution Centers
• The Assistant Transportation Manager staffs, trains, evaluates, and develops team members by developing and leading improvement activities and engagement as well as monitors employee productivity and timekeeping
• This role will ensure adherence to delivery standards and regulatory requirements while managing drivers’ delivery schedules and hours worked
• The Assistant Transportation Manager develops and manages the transportation budget by reviewing and approving transportation invoices
• You will also work directly with distribution centers to manage carrier relationships and conduct carrier meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 plus years of related experience and 2 plus years of management experience or High School Diploma with 8 plus years of specific experience and 4 plus years of management experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master’s Degree
