Job summary

FullBloom’s Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an assistant teacher to support a classroom of students with special needs. You will work with a teacher in small groups to deliver individualized instruction and reinforce learning using data-driven methods.

You will monitor student progress, communicate with parents, and participate in assessments while maintaining a safe, supportive environment and applying de-escalation techniques when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or college experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction and implement the SESI model.
• Collaborate with the teacher to provide behavioral and academic support.
• Assist with assessments and monitor student progress.
• Support, document, and track student growth toward goals.
• Supervise students and ensure safety during transitions and activities.
• Utilize de-escalation and crisis management techniques when needed.
