Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks an Assistant Teacher to support classroom instructors in delivering individualized services to K-12 students with special needs. You will help run small-group instruction, monitor progress, and use data to tailor materials and tasks.

You will collaborate with teachers and other service providers to create a supportive learning environment, reinforce skills, and assist with assessments while maintaining student safety and engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with small group instruction and individualized services.
• Monitor student behavior and track educational progress using data.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to address students' needs.
• Reinforce learning and assign tasks to support ongoing instruction.
• Assist with assessments and provide accommodations and modifications as necessary.
• Support safety through de-escalation and crisis management as needed.
