Job summary

Required 90 Hour Certification; CDA preferred; 1 year classroom experience and comfort with diverse populations. Strong communication and computer skills are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• 90 Hour Certification required.
• CDA, preferred.
• Associated Degree, preferred.
• 1 year classroom experience, preferred.
• Experience with homelessness, substance abuse/mental health challenges, or at-risk populations.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact with people of varying ages and cultural backgrounds.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Sound computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment and arrange the room to support learning.
• Assist the Teacher with planning and implementing lessons.
• Develop written individualized education plans and weekly lesson plans.
• Maintain records (attendance, meals, etc.) and document child guidance.
• Engage parents with regular conferences and home visits.
• Collaborate in CDT and participate in team planning sessions.
• Support ongoing professional development and follow center policies.
• Cover for the Teacher when absent and contribute to center plans.
