Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities. You will help maintain a safe and organized classroom that meets licensing ratios and support children during meals, transitions, and outdoor time.

You will observe and note developmental progress, communicate with families daily, and assist with attendance and daily reports. A strong care for children and teamwork with staff is essential.

Formación

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and commitment to their safety and well-being.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with families.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.
• A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus, but not required.

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands‑on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

What your day looks like:

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age‑appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports

Pay and benefits

Pay: $11.00-$14.00 per hour, based on experience and education.
