Waypoint is hiring an Assistant Teacher for a full-time role at KidsPoint Downtown or KidsPoint C Street in Cedar Rapids. The position supports the Lead Teacher to create a fun, safe, and engaging early childhood environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

The job offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:45 PM, with a 30–35 hour workweek and starting pay of $15/hour. This role provides hands-on opportunities to grow in education and child development.

What You’ll Need

To be successful in this role, you should:

• At least 18 years old
• Have a high school diploma or GED (or in progress)
• Have 1 year of childcare experience required
• Feel confident interacting with children and communicating with parents
• Be willing and able to complete required trainings (CPR/First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, etc.)
• Have reliable transportation and a strong commitment to being on time
• Be able to stay active throughout your shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
