What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll support the Lead Teacher and help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.

In this role, you will:

• Help lead fun, age‑appropriate activities and learning experiences that keep kids engaged and learning
• Assist in planning and implementing curriculum and daily activities
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
• Ensure a safe, supervised environment at all times
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Use positive guidance to encourage good behavior and problem‑solving
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom
• Assist with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and transitions
• Communicate with families and contribute to daily updates
• Help maintain required documentation and licensing standards

Requirements

What You’ll Need

• Be at least 16 years old
• Have a high school diploma or GED (or in progress)
• Have 1 year of childcare experience (required)
• Feel confident interacting with children and communicating with parents
• Be willing and able to complete required trainings (CPR/First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, etc.)
• Have reliable transportation and a strong commitment to being on time
• Be able to stay active throughout your shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have the ability to meet background check and health screening requirements
