Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA in Philadelphia is seeking an Assistant Teacher for the Roxborough Early Learning Center to support dynamic, child-centered lessons and a caring classroom environment.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years (2500 hours) of verified childcare experience. It is a full-time, hourly role with benefits including health coverage and a YMCA membership.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Uphold all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
