Job summary

The Learning Experience is seeking Assistant Teachers to join our team in New York to support infants, toddlers and preschoolers in a caring, engaging environment. You will assist teachers in delivering our L.E.A.P.

Curriculum® and ensure a safe, nurturing space for children to explore and learn. Responsibilities include classroom leadership support, communicating with families about progress, and collaborating with staff to sustain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Educational background: High School Diploma or GED is required; ECE coursework preferred.
• Experience in childcare or demonstrated passion for early childhood education is preferred.
• Meet state compliance and health/safety training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support classrooms to create a stimulating, welcoming space for children to learn and grow.
• Support teachers in implementing the L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, adapting to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Prioritize safety and nurture in daily routines.
• Maintain active communication with families about progress and milestones via apps and in-person meetings.
• Collaborate with center staff and leadership to drive retention, enrollment and engagement goals.
• Foster warm relationships with families and colleagues to support learning and play.
