Job summary

The Learning Experience in Kings Park, NY is seeking enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to help create a fun, engaging, and supportive environment where children can learn and grow.

You will partner with Lead Teachers to implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum, support infants to preschoolers, and help with daily routines, safety, and family communication. This is a full-time, on-site position offering growth opportunities within a caring team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Background screening, health, immunization, and training requirements per NYS for the role.
• Experience in childcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Lead Teachers to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom.
• Support implementation of L.E.A.P. Curriculum through hands-on activities.
• Assist with daily routines (diapering, feeding, dressing) and safety.
• Encourage social-emotional development and positive interactions.
• Communicate with families about children's activities and progress.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom in a developmentally appropriate way.
• Collaborate with leadership to support enrollment and family engagement.
