Job summary

The Learning Experience in Kings Park, NY is seeking an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to create a warm, engaging classroom where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. You will guide hands-on activities using our L.E.A.P.

Qualifications

• Must meet New York State requirements for a preschool group teacher.
• Experience in a preschool, childcare, daycare, or early childhood classroom.
• Early Childhood Education degree, CDA, credential, or NY-compliant coursework/experience.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for helping young children learn and develop.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Background screening, health, and training requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate preschool classroom.
• Bring L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to life through hands-on lessons and activities.
• Support children's social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
• Create a positive classroom environment where every child feels welcomed and supported.
• Observe children's development and communicate progress with families.
• Maintain classroom routines, learning materials, and required documentation.
• Partner with fellow teachers and center leadership to create an exceptional family experience.
• Follow New York childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
