Job summary

The Goddard School Worthington is seeking an energetic Assistant Teacher to support Lead Teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities and maintaining a safe, stimulating classroom. You will help with lesson plans, behavior guidance, and daily care routines, partnering with families and fellow staff to nurture each child’s development in a warm, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.

Responsibilities

• Prepare classroom materials and ensure safety and cleanliness.
