Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota (LSS) is hiring Assistant Teachers for our after-school programs serving K–5 students in Sioux Falls. This part-time role offers flexible hours and hands-on opportunities to support children after school.

Lead activities, build relationships with kids and families, ensure a safe, caring environment, and work with a team following program guidelines. LSS provides a supportive work culture and room to grow.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• No substantiated child abuse/neglect reports and no felony within the last 5 years.
• Successful completion of all agency background checks.
• Genuine desire to help kids learn and grow.

Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota (LSS) is hiring Assistant Teachers (age 18+) for our after-school programs serving K–5 students in Sioux Falls! Great opportunity for college students who want a future working with children!

We have three locations in Sioux Falls:

• Southern Hills – 3400 E 49th Street
• Hilltop – 1312 S Bahnson Ave
• Here4Youth – 300 E 6th Street (serves youth with special needs)

What You Need

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain one) and active auto insurance
• Must meet licensing requirements: no substantiated child abuse/neglect reports and no felony within the last 5 years
• Successful completion of all agency background checks
