Greater Philadelphia YMCA in Mount Laurel, NJ seeks a part-time assistant teacher who is passionate about nurturing young minds, delivering engaging curricula, and building connections with families in our community. Qualifications

• 2 years verified childcare experience.
• Candidate has completed High School or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care by identifying, SEE-ing, HEAR-ing, DIRECT-ing and ASSIST-ing, ensuring safety.
• Uphold YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for quality childcare.

What is needed for this job:

• High School degree or equivalent.
• 2 years (2500 hours) verified childcare experience.

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
