Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Part Time, Hourly Assistant Group Supervisor for the Early Learning & Care program at the Phoenixville location. This role focuses on assisting in planning and implementing age-appropriate curricula and creating a supportive, safe childcare environment for children and families.

Key responsibilities include supervising children, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding YMCA and state quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• 2 years (2500 hours) verified childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Uphold all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
