Job summary

St. Louis Arc in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Assistant Support Manager to lead direct care teams and oversee daily living supports for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This full-time role provides 40 hours per week in a compassionate nonprofit setting.

You will coordinate individual plans, mentor staff, and collaborate with nursing to implement medication, transportation, and safety needs. CPR/FA and Mandt training are provided at no cost.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Some college preferred
• Two+ years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, education, medical, or human services field
• Some supervisory experience in a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain an understanding of 2-6 individuals’ plans and appropriate implementation practices
• Actively engage individual’s growth in daily living skills including hygiene support, meal preparation, dressing, and maintaining a clean environment
• Transport individuals to and from activities and scheduled appointments
• Assist and mentor new staff: daily notes, worksite orientation, and supervised medication passes
• Understand and implement standards for Daily Note completion and review
• Collaborate with the nursing team to follow and implement nursing plans and ensure staff understand expectations
• Execute all tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Support Manager
• Act as interim Support Manager in the Support Manager’s absence
