Job summary

The St. Louis Arc is seeking a Vocational Coordinator in Missouri to lead a team of direct care staff, oversee employment services, and advance program outcomes. This full-time, exempt role involves guiding assessments, documenting progress, and ensuring compliance with funder and agency requirements.

You will participate in planning for people supported, manage ISP components, and maintain strong relationships with funders while providing hands-on support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or some post-secondary education required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Two years’ experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or work in an educational field required
  • Previous experience in supported employment and/or job discovery required

Responsibilities

  • Directly hire, train, and supervise a team of direct care staff.
  • Guide Path to Employment staff towards completing assessments and identifying vocational goals.
  • Attend and actively participate in planning meetings for people supported.
  • Understand and assist the team with implementing funder and agency requirements related to compliancy, quality, and record keeping.
  • Complete the Employment section of the ISP (Individual Support Plan) including program-specific outcomes and action steps
  • Complete documentation regarding program activities and outcome progress including completion of monthly reports and trends/data for participants in the program
  • Prepare and manage DMH monitoring visits, audit preparation, and ongoing communication and relationships with funders
  • Review and approve/reject Daily Progress notes for all individuals in Path to Employment
  • Provide direct support to participants as needed

The Vocational Coordinator is a full time salaried/exempt role earning $58,000 annually,

What you will do:
  • Directly hire, train, and supervise a team of direct care staff. Guide staff on implementation of services and best practices through modeling, support, and ongoing feedback.
  • Guide and support Path to Employment staff towards completing assessments and identifying vocational goals. Objectively evaluate a person’s knowledge, skills and abilities for competitive integrated employment.
  • Attend and actively participate in all relevant planning meetings for people supported.
  • Understand and assist the team with implementing funder and agency requirements related to compliancy, quality, and record keeping.
  • Complete the Employment section of the ISP (Individual Support Plan) including program-specific outcomes and action steps
  • Complete documentation regarding program activities and outcome progress including completion of monthly reports and trends/data for participants in the program
