**About The Role**
The primary purpose of the Assistant Supervisor General Stores position is to assist the warehouse Supervisor and Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising the day-to-day operations of a large storeroom/warehouse. The Assistant Supervisor will coordinate the activities of staff involved in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and distributing Med/Surg supplies and materials.

**Responsibilities**
What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising work related to receiving, recording, storing, safeguarding, and issuing materials and supplies.
  • Help assign and instruct staff, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Organize and assign work, develop procedures, routines, and schedules for the storeroom.
  • Supervise the proper placement of stock to ensure orderliness and safety, guarding against spillage, deterioration, loss, theft, and fire.
  • Assist in supervising the issuance of materials upon receipt of proper requisitions and maintaining records.
  • Supervise work operations and recommend personnel actions such as hiring, firing, and discipline.

**Qualifications**
What You’ll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Reading and writing skills sufficient to perform duties and understand safety regulations.
  • At least one year of experience in stockroom/warehouse work, retail, or related fields, involving equipment and supplies management and record-keeping.
  • Shift: 3:00 pm - 12:00 am, alternating weekends and holidays.

Salary range: $20.91 - $30.47, based on experience and qualifications, in accordance with NJ law.
