This individual will provide supervision and conduct training in the facility, including some evening hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • actively working to cultivate a nurturing and inclusive environment
  • supervising teaching assistants (TA's), students, and other users
  • monitoring and implementing safety practices including safety training for all users of the facility
  • assisting in maintaining equipment, ordering supplies
  • a commitment to professional development and lifelong learning

Teaching and training are primary aspects of this position. This includes educating Learning Factory users (i.e., TAs, students, faculty, and staff) on the safe and appropriate usage of a wide variety of equipment. As we transition into a new best-in-class facility, the individual will assist in the development of new technical and professional training, including safety protocols and skills development for users and TAs.

Additional experience and/or education and competencies are welcome. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are also required.

This is 100% on-site hourly position. The individual is expected to work 2-3 days/week, with the possibility of additional hours during peak usage periods.
