Job summary

Grunley Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent on high-profile commercial and government projects. This role oversees a specific project area, ensuring safety, coordination, and proper use of tools.

Occasional site safety officer duties may be assigned if qualified. Reports to the Superintendent and the Director of Field Operations; requires OSHA 10, CPR, and First Aid certifications, plus 3 years’ foreman/field engineer experience or 8 years’

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years of Foreman/Field Engineer experience or 8 years of multi-trades construction experience.
• Excellent communication and the ability to learn new field information quickly.
• Must be able to direct staff and read construction drawings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent and assist with daily reports and deliveries.
• Coordinate subcontractors and Grunley manpower with the schedule.
• Ensure safety, conduct safety meetings, and address unsafe conditions.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications; maintain tools and inventory.
