Job summary

Grunley Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to provide general support to the Superintendent on the project. You will supervise a specific part of the project, ensure safety, coordinate subcontractors, and manage tools and daily reports.

The role requires at least 3 years in a foreman/field engineer role (or 8 years with relevant trades), plus 10-hour OSHA, CPR, and First Aid certifications. Strong communication and self-starting abilities are essential.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Experience: 3+ years as Foreman or Field Engineer; or 8+ years with trades knowledge.
  • Certifications: 10-hour OSHA, CPR, First Aid.
  • Knowledge/Abilities: learn new technical info quickly; communicate clearly; self-starter who can execute tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Superintendent and manage daily reports and deliveries.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and Grunley manpower with the Superintendent.
  • Conduct safety meetings and monitor site conditions; correct unsafe conditions.
  • Read and communicate information from drawings and specifications; coordinate with schedule.
  • Maintain and inventory tools on site.
