Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent-IS to support the Cumberland County construction team, overseeing home builds and coordinating subcontractors to meet quality standards and schedules.

Responsibilities include site safety, inspections, homeowner walk-throughs, and maintaining strong customer service throughout the construction process. A GED or high school diploma and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months to 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive among construction sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read plans and other construction documents.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and systematic approach.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to assure quality and adherence to plans and schedule.
• Schedule and walk inspections with inspectors.
• Walk completed homes before homeowner walk-through and closing sign-off.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and ensure homeowner satisfaction.
• Assist Superintendent in managing subcontractors for quality, safety, scheduling and cost control.
• Enforce site safety program and subcontractor compliance with standards and codes.
• Maintain DR Horton cleanliness standards at communities and jobsites.
• Support material management to prevent damage and loss.
• Contribute to delivering on-time, high-quality product.
