Job summary

Rouge Park Golf Course in Detroit, MI seeks a Full-Time Assistant Superintendent to lead maintenance and course construction, ensuring turf standards and quality play. You will work with the Superintendent on annual maintenance budgets, supervise staff, and plan greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers; manage planting and cultural practices.

The role requires a Bachelor's/AA in agronomy or related field and 3–4 years experience; valid driver's license; strong English and Microsoft Office skills;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/AA in agronomy, horticulture, or related field; 3–4 years related experience.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff and managing budgets.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to work outdoors in varied weather.
• Strong English communication and basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and construction of the golf course to established standards.
• Assist in budget and capital plan management.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate daily duties.
• Plan maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, licensing, and regulations.
