Job summary

Starr Pass Golf Club in Tucson, AZ seeks an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our golf maintenance team. You will oversee course maintenance and construction, ensuring high-quality turf and landscape standards are met.

You will work with the Superintendent to plan budgets, supervise staff, and manage putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers. Valid licenses and safe work practices are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or AA in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant/ soil science required.
• Three to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance and construction of the golf course and ensures turf grass is repaired and maintained to standards.
• Supervises and assists maintenance staff in daily duties.
• Plans, organizes and directs maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers.
• Maintains records of maintenance activities and costs; assists with reports.
• Coordinates with supervisor on budgets, equipment, and vendor selection.
• Ensures safety procedures and licenses are obtained and followed.
